In a field as unique as condominium management, the importance of management training and experience is crucial, and any employer must train its employees to retain them for as long as possible.
Condominium management companies range in size from 2-3 employees to over a hundred, like SolutionCondo. Each company structure is different, from a manager who does everything to a structure with multiple support departments, where the manager is the orchestra conductor. Some management firms have offices (sometimes several) while others are 100% telecommuting. Each business environment is different and brings its own set of benefits for the employee who chooses to join it.

What is a career path? It’s a tool that broadly describes an employee’s career path. More specifically, for our manager career path, we have 7 levels (level 1, 2, 3, intermediate, senior, management director, senior manager), each of which determines objectives and responsibilities, as well as the skills to be mastered.
These career paths are a superb tool for professional development. They make it easier to see the possibilities for advancement within the company. What’s more, an employee who is committed to his or her work can progress at a more sustained pace, since progress along the career path is not dictated by time, but by the acquisition of skills and autonomy.

We are fortunate to have a colleague dedicated solely to training. Why is that? Because we know that it’s through training and coaching that we can enable our colleagues to develop professionally. We have a number of experts in various fields who give training courses. From emergency management to technical building maintenance, from the legal aspects of the job to financial management, from managing interpersonal relations to managing expectations, and so on.
In-house training courses are structured and adapted to the realities of the field, taking into account company processes and best practices developed over the years. What’s more, we organize team-building days with all our managers and take advantage of the opportunity to provide training in both technical and interpersonal skills.
Ahh our support departments! Let’s face it, they enable our managers to carry out their management mandates more efficiently and effectively. It’s not for nothing that we call our managers orchestra conductors. An incredible amount of work is produced upstream or downstream by management support departments.
