Why choose SolutionCondo as your employer?

To work in condominiums, you may come from many other fields, related or not. 

That’s why it’s a good idea to tell everyone who we are, because many people are likely to know someone who might enjoy working in one or other of the fine professions offered by condominium management.  In the past, our customers have been an excellent source of employee referrals.

In a field as unique as condominium management, the importance of management training and experience is crucial, and any employer must train its employees to retain them for as long as possible.

Condominium management companies range in size from 2-3 employees to over a hundred, like SolutionCondo. Each company structure is different, from a manager who does everything to a structure with multiple support departments, where the manager is the orchestra conductor. Some management firms have offices (sometimes several) while others are 100% telecommuting. Each business environment is different and brings its own set of benefits for the employee who chooses to join it.

Since 2017, we have been operating with a career path for our managers. Since then, supervisor career paths have been added, as well as those for the administration and accounting departments (those for other departments will follow).

What is a career path? It’s a tool that broadly describes an employee’s career path. More specifically, for our manager career path, we have 7 levels (level 1, 2, 3, intermediate, senior, management director, senior manager), each of which determines objectives and responsibilities, as well as the skills to be mastered.

These career paths are a superb tool for professional development.  They make it easier to see the possibilities for advancement within the company.  What’s more, an employee who is committed to his or her work can progress at a more sustained pace, since progress along the career path is not dictated by time, but by the acquisition of skills and autonomy.

 

3. Company growth

The structured growth of a company is an inexhaustible source of opportunities for employees.  In fact, at SolutionCondo, employees don’t have to wait for their bosses to retire to get a chance to grow and have opportunities, WE HAVE THEM!

 

4. In-house training and coaching

We are fortunate to have a colleague dedicated solely to training. Why is that? Because we know that it’s through training and coaching that we can enable our colleagues to develop professionally. We have a number of experts in various fields who give training courses. From emergency management to technical building maintenance, from the legal aspects of the job to financial management, from managing interpersonal relations to managing expectations, and so on. 

In-house training courses are structured and adapted to the realities of the field, taking into account company processes and best practices developed over the years. What’s more, we organize team-building days with all our managers and take advantage of the opportunity to provide training in both technical and interpersonal skills. 

 

5. Support departments

Ahh our support departments! Let’s face it, they enable our managers to carry out their management mandates more efficiently and effectively. It’s not for nothing that we call our managers orchestra conductors.  An incredible amount of work is produced upstream or downstream by management support departments.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank them: administration, collections, accounting, customer service, claims management, technical work, legal services and property start-up.

 

6. Our various committees

We have various committees with different objectives within the company:

  • The Social Committee: responsible for organizing events throughout the year, including the end-of-year party, happy hours, karaoke, winter activities and more.
  • The Green Committee: aims to encourage the company and its colleagues to take green actions.
  • Health and Safety Committee: ensures that workplaces are safe.

We offer our colleagues whose work allows them to work in our different offices: Montreal, Laval, Brossard, Quebec City and soon Gatineau!

Did someone say free telemedicine? Oh yes, we did!  We offer this service 24/7 to our employees because it’s important that they have effective services for themselves and their families.
