The role of co-ownership director is increasingly complex and demanding, requiring in-depth expertise and continuing training. Directors must deal with a growing number of legal and regulatory obligations, as well as challenges such as managing finances, maintenance work and conflicts between co-owners.
Several resources exist to help directors fulfill their responsibilities efficiently and professionally.
L’ASCQ, the association of co-ownership syndicates of Quebec, recently launched its activities during a launch and networking event dedicated to co-ownership directors. This association is committed to offering a variety of training and resources to support directors in their daily lives.
The training offered by ASCQ covers a wide range of subjects, ranging from daily management to more specialized aspects such as insurance, law, accounting and building maintenance. Delivered by industry experts, such as lawyers, notaries and managers, these training courses offer a valuable opportunity to deepen your knowledge and stay up to date with the latest condominium management practices.
In addition to training, the ASCQ provides legal resources, checklists and a monthly newsletter to keep directors informed of important developments in the field of co-ownership.
During this first event, the ASCQ also clarified its commitment regarding the insurance file. The ASCQ thus supports, in particular, the fight initiated by the AQGC in terms of legislative reform on insurance, but also the increased burden weighing on co-ownerships.
Le RGCQ is a professional organization that represents the interests of managers and co-owners in Quebec. The RGCQ offers a variety of services to its members, including training, publications, and conferences. Many activities are organized by the RGCQ throughout the province, online or in person: Condo aperitifs, Workshops and round tables, Conferences, Condo 101 and All about condo insurance, Conferences and cocktail conferences, Return of the co-ownership, Webinars, Condo info webinars…
